Customizing computers usually doesn't make them any better, but why should that stop you from having fun? Most PC customizing, or "mods" are restricted to the case, and most of those are restricted to putting a window on the side of the case. This has become so popular, that if you don't want to do it yourself, there are hundreds of side-window cases on the market to buy.

Nice looking, but slightly distracting to use

A window can be pretty cool, but some people (read young and gamer), put bright fluorescent inside the case to ensure that you can't miss seeing their window. This might look great in the computer store, but sitting on your desk, this is a major distraction if you are trying to do anything with the computer besides admire the window.
