Registry Tips

Here are some tips and programs that we have used to improve the performance of our personal PC's. These tips are sometimes shared with customers, but since they are usually "use at your own risk," we seldom use them in the field.

The exception is with some of the free tweaker programs, which work their magic by hacking the registry for you, but in a way that will work and from a GUI interface.

Hacking the registry is not something for amateurs or the fool-hardies that rush in where angels fear to tread.

Read our tips on how to hack without killing anything, and look to see if the tweaking programs will solve your problem first before resorting to a hack.
