In this section of our site, we offer some tips for making your PC work better, some hacks (yes, some hacks are good), and just some ideas we have for making your life with the computer better for both of you.   We want to make your computer experience as enjoyable for both as possible.

The best tips are the ones that do not cost you anything but a little time. We like the hidden utilities that are built into Windows, and the registry hacks (read tweak) that cost no more than a minute to implement.

 

 

 

The number one problem we see today is the affect of spyware on users computers. This is becoming a greater problem today than email viruses, because of the invasion of privacy, immense performance hit on the computer, and frequent permanant damage to the Operating System. On some computers, the infestation is so great that reformatting and reinstalling is the only complete solution to the problem. One of the easiest ways to improve your system for free is through a little registry hacking. One of the easiest way to ruin your system for free is through a little registry hacking.

Be forewarned and forearmed, even if you only have two arms. Changing the registry can be one of the greatest way to tweak your system, or one of the fastest ways to kill it. We have some tips on how to do it right, and when and where to hack it. These tips include Windows XP, 2000 and even Windows 98 and Me. While the best tweak we ever found for Windows Me involved a sledge Hammer and a garbage can, it can be tweaked if you are stuck with it. Just click on the registry image to the left.
