Vista is the latest Operating System from Microsoft, and by the end of 2008, should be the dominate Operating System in the Untied States.  There will always be compatibility issues with any new or changed operating system.  Dispite the critics, this is normal.  Even the Apple fanics suffer from it when Apple releases a major OS change, although they forget and deny it the next day.

Listed here are some compatibility issues and possible fixes for Vista and pre-existing hardware/software.

Itunes:
Apple had lots of time, but did not update their iTunes program to work with Vista. This is not Microsoft's problem dispite the media spin. Until you get a update to the program, try the following.

First, enable disk use on your iPod. Connect the iPod and right-click it in iTunes. On the Summary tab, deselect Enable Disk Use and click Apply.  Also, deauthorize your music before you upgrade. In iTunes, click Store>>Deauthorize Computer. Enter your Apple ID and password. Click OK.  If you’re having problems playing purchased music, try the quick fix. Download the iTunes Repair Tool for Vista. It’ll likely do the trick.

Nvidia:
Drivers for Nvidia's latest DirectX 10 cards, the GeForce 8800 series are not working well with Vista as of Feburary 14th. This is the first DirectX 10 video card chipset, and Nvidia should upgrade the drivers quickly.
