Saint Philip's Episcopal Church website shows how a conservative
organization can present themselves on the modern Internet with
style and taste. The Site features self-adjusting pages to fit any
normal browser window size. There are four main sections, and each
section has a different color scheme of navigation bars and text
color, to help people identify where they are within the web site.
Each section features a slice from a stained glass image, a section
title over that image, and a specific title for the topic of the
page. Javascript is used to pop up dhtml description boxes for each
link. The right side of most pages has a table of related links
to other pages within the site.
Server Side Includes are inserted into each page to provide a pop-up
navigation form for one click navigation to any page within the
entire site. This allows single editing of the navigation form for
any change to take place across the entire site.
There are several dynamically created pages utilizing databases
to create custom pages on the fly.
This is a graphics rich site, but printer-friendly pages have been
provided where people are expected to print a page, and do not want
to include all of the accompanying graphics.
